Thank you for this article; it's very intimate, as well as very interesting to read how both sides feels about the whole experience. This also resonates with me very much - I'm looking for a very similar experiences in the practice of shibari.
Hard for me to answer... first of all, the relation between Shibari and erotism that indeed is not so straight forward as it looks at the beginning. Shibari for sure might be erotic experience, however it is far more than that. It might be a great relief, sensory integration activity for adults. The feeling of helpless, the feeling of rope, thigh hug around the whole body, that gives the sense of care, trust, belonging. The "let it go" moment when you realize that whatever happens - happens, so don't fight, just enjoy the moment. Also the way that you described your preparation for sessions, as well as your tiredness after that... I've read your article and almost constantly I had in my mind: "oh, I have the same".

Dear Pawel, thank you very much for being part of the conversation. I am curious, if I may, which part in particular resonated?
And I am happy to know that you also practice Shibari. I would love to hear about your own experience.
